High quality wines of this vintage were carefully selected and blended to create the strong, full, fruity character of Sandeman Porto Late Bottled Vintage. This wine was wood-aged for about 4 years and bottled unfiltered, maintaining the style of a single-vintage wine.
At release, Sandeman LBV shows a deep ruby color. This wine has an aroma of good intensity and complexity. Balsamic notes of resin and rock rose, floral touches of basil, red fruits, black fruits and spicy hints of black pepper. On the palate, it has good volume, a lively acidity, firm tannins and prominent notes of red fruit, black fruit and black pepper. It has a wonderfully balanced finish.
